Lee Quarry, Bacup

A few of us made it up to Lee Quarry at the weekend to check out what new stuff had been built since our last session. The builders have been pretty busy grafting and spending their money. Looks like they've had the JCB hard at work cutting some sweeping bermed lines down the quarryside with drops, table tops and a nice double to boot. The lines flow fairly nicely but could do with a bit of tweaking as there are a couple of sections that unintentionally (I assume) kill your speed. This is especially true as you run into the berm just before the tables and the double. There is a drainage ditch that could do with a little lip building to the inside with a corresponding landing trannie on the otherside so that you can flow your speed into the berm and tables ahead. There is also a perfect opportunity for a wall ride on the berm before the tables but the flag of stone is angled over vert into the berm instead of in line with the angle of the berm. Pity that as it could have worked pretty well.
Anyway, it does look like they are chucking quite a bit of money at the site so hopefully they may throw in a few tweaks once the trails have bedded in a little..here's hoping...
